This logo was created by the design company Zoomic and the designer Mica Mori for the Hanyuri Register for the Hanyuri Cultural Heritage Committee in 2016. The logo was used to highlight the cultural heritage of Tomika town in Japan.
Zoomic is a small private graphic design office established by Mica Mori in 2013. The graphic design office was moved to Gifu City in 2015, a year before Mori created the Hanyuri Register logo. Mica Mori was born in Minokamo City, Gifu Prefecture, in 1979. Mori graduated from the Department of English Studies at Kyoto University of Foreign Studies. While enrolled at the university, Mori began their design journey in the university's art department. Mori also worked at design offices in Kobe and Osaka for 10 years.
This logo design was scanned from the Logos from Japan book at Temple University Japan City Campus Library in Tokyo, Japan. Jon Dowling is the author and book designer. Counter-Print is the publisher, and the book was published in 2017.
